Sultry tha Poet

I, Kiana LaShayia was born the oldest of five, and later seven from a blended family. I lived in Kansas City and Omaha, Nebraska the majority of my life. Raised as a Christian I attended church faithfully. There I fell in love with God, and was introduced to interpretive dance and choir. Throughout my adolescence I started writing poetry as an expression of freedom. Overtime I took various writing classes for fun, where I learned to cultivate my craft. During my high school and college years I was employed in childcare centers, eventually leading to my passion to heal and build up families, as well as birth one of my own.
My gifts of dance and poetry motivates me to uplift the spirits of those I encounter. With intentions to bring awareness to God, I use my words of poetry to inspire the hearts and minds to embrace positivity. Through my love of dance I desire to ignite the fire of those connected to the body of Christ. With everyday ahead I'm pressing towards change, and using art to express what is inside of me, hoping to better shape the world for children and women around me, and one day society.
